Need to pick up a sympathy card on my way home from work today. |
|
I came into work and checked my email. I found a message from a friend of 35 years: His wife died over the weekend. She had cancer, so this was not sudden.
Although the message came via email, I think a hand-written card expressing my sympathy is in order.

I buy cartons of cards from Costco when they have them. The hand made ones they often sell. That way, I always have cards on hand.

2. I suppose now that I'm over 50, I better keep a carton of them on hand as well. |

I used to just pick up one at a time when I needed to, but I suspect these kinds of notices will be increasing in frequency...

and all occasion, which has prevented me from running to the store at the last minute when one of my kids is going to a birthday party. Card with $20 = gift.
