When not to expect a reply. |
|
Someone sent me an email at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night. I got an email this morning when I woke up bitching that I hadn't responded yet. Um, I'm a minister and a mother of three children. Do you honestly expect me to be all over my email on EASTER bloody Sunday!? This is like expecting a tax accountant to chaperone the Girl Scout campout on April 12-13. (Yes, a friend of mine got blasted by the other girls' moms for not stepping up to the plate for this.)
Any "black out dates/times" in your profession that people don't stop to consider?

I'd forgotten about a friend of mine who is a high school basketball coach. Don't even think about asking him to do anything from about October - April.
