1. That deserves a whole row of these little fellers:
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

For the record, though, not all country music sucks. Just think of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson. And I'm also partial to David Allan Coe, especially his "X-rated" stuff.

32. Merle Haggard, "Workin' Man Blues"
Willie Nelson, "Whiskey River"

Hank Williams (SENIOR, dammit), "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"

George Jones, "He Stopped Loving Her Today"

Tammy Wynette, take your pick "Stand By Your Man," "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" et al.

Loretta Lynn, "Coal Miner's Daughter"

THOSE are country-by-God songs! I dare you to give 'em a listen and not like them. Especially Merle ...

30. The video for Badonkadonk was simply an excuse
to show beautiful "country" girls in tight jeans! Not that that's a BAD thing, mind you! Heck YOU coulda been in that video (in my pev mind, you WERE!!!!!).

:rofl:

The song, however, was not nearly as good as "Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On" (can't remember who did it).

But back in the 70s, Flatt and Scruggs knocked it out of the park at Carnegie Hall!

Some of it is very clever.."The Truth about Men" by Tracey Byrd is hilarious. Dixie Chicks "Sin Wagon" is great..There are some nice story telling songs but they are all older stuff. The newer stuff is like what you played there. Junk.

35. That's Nashville Pop. Most real C & W (espec. b/f 1973 or so) is pretty good or flat-out awesome.
But yeah- contemporary nashville pop stinks.

Try some Bob Wills, Rose Maddox, Webb Pierce, Gram Parsons or some Hank Sr.- you cant truly like Rock & Roll and not like the good examples of country.

The best Country records rock, while almost all Rock & Roll has elements of C&W.
