A question for Minnesota DU'ers... |
|
It looks like I need to go see a specialist Doctor at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Need some advice, here. Whats the best way to get there? Fly? Into what airport and how far from the airport is the Clinic? Where's a good place to stay? Also since I have a feeling I will be staying a day or two perhaps we could do a meetup? I'm going to need some cheer I think...

2. Rochester has its own international airport |
|
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rochester_International_Airporthttp://www.rochesterintlairport.com/ about 7-8 miles from downtown. but, you could also fly into Minneapolis-St Paul and take a commuter flight. The only hotel I'm familiar with is the Kahler (located downtown) - it's right next to the clinic. http://www.kahler.com/

4. There are regular vans that go between MSP and Rochester |

Along US 52. They leave a couple of times a day. It is about an hour to hour and a half between the Minneapolis airport and downtown Rochester.
Or you can just add the MSP-RST leg to your flight and fly Northwest/Mesaba for a quick up and down.
