Now I really want the weather to break. I've been itching to get back into the
garden, but now I think there is a little kitty hiding in my barn. I've been leaving some cat food out for her and I think she's been eating it. (The chickens ate some, but I'm pretty sure they didn't move the bowl back out from under the door!)I just caught a glimpse of her, she is a dark tiger with a black face and white paws. Don't ask me why I think she's a female. She ran under the door when I drove up in my car, but peeked out when I called her. If she was feral, I don't think she would have peeked at me when I called her. The barn has a hundred hiding places so it's a good refuge for a stray right now. I'm thinking that if she is still around when the weather breaks, she'l get used to seeing me in the yard and may get more friendly.
