OK....What do you do?
When someone you used to be friends with has you on ignore...

And you can't talk to them?

You can't PM them...

And if you go in their threads, they won't see you?

Of course, they have a perfect right to do it...

But...

What do you do?

I wish I knew, I really do...

I'm sorry to hear that.

I don't know what I'd do. I'd feel sad and hurt though, if I had no idea why.

4. Jesus!!
Who the heck would ignore you?

This place drives me nuts sometimes...people overuse ignore.

If you really need to talk to this person, maybe you can consider typing something up and having a friend send it...but I don't know if that is frowned upon or not.

Anyway Peggy...

16. Someone has YOU on ignore?!!!!
Oh, man! That makes my brain hurt!!

Honestly, when someone has me on ignore, I'm usually as angry with them as they are with me. At least at first. So, I don't mind. I've never, to my knowledge, been put on ignore by someone who bothered me by doing it.

All of which is a long way of saying...'fraid I can't help ya.

But still...someone has you on ignore? Well, I can die now. I've seen everything.

30. Then, I would have to ask the question Peg, "Did they really think...
...of YOU as a friend?" I don't know the details, and don't mean to be presumptive. But were they the friend to you, that you were to them? And if they were, how could that "friend" put you on ignore...

41. As Dangerously says below...
it's their loss.

You didn't put them on ignore, they made that choice, and it may be what they feel as somehow right. They may also have forgotten you're even on the list!

Life's way too short to be taken seriously. Folks accept me as I am, and I do likewise and we're gonna get along fine. We can civilly agree to disagree, or we can do molotov cocktails at 5 paces...their choice. Either way I'm gonna enjoy myself.

And remember....friends help you move. Real friends help you move bodies.

And thank you kindly for the comment on my name. I just chose it to reflect as I am in real life...maybe not what you expected.

39. What do *I* do?

Heh. Shrug and/or laugh, and let it go. Their loss.

I remember someone saying, long ago, that out of every ten people you met in life, five will like you, three will be indifferent and two will think you're a bum. And you can't alter the formula, because if you change your behavior to win over the 20% who don't like you, then some of the ones who already like you will think you are selling out (and you are, really), and decide you're not so cool after all, etc. etc.

Better just to accept the fact that no matter what you do or how hard you try, there are always going to be some people in life who - for reasons you may never know about or understand if you did - simply don't like you. No biggie. So if you discover that someone doesn't like you, just go, "Oh. You're one of the 20%. Okay, whatever." And go on with your life. They may decide they like you at a later time and if so, great. But you can't make people like you, so why waste your time trying?

40. My dear Dangerously Amused...
I agree with everything you've said here...

But...

This person and I used to be friends...

And then something happened...

A disagreement, over which I had zero control...

That's why this still bugs me...

I can't try...I can't even talk to the person...

It's very frustrating!

Still, I appreciate your very cogent thoughts...
