I feel so bad. Poor Kitteh. |
|
I live in a rural area and there are quite a few feral cats around.
we pretty much live and let live but one cat figured out how to open the skirt on the mobile home and has been living there all winter. and then it kicks my poor kitteh's ass when my kitteh is in the yard.
twice it's chased my cat in through the dog door, panicked and hid behind the dryer, which caused us to have to replace the vent hose after it got torn up.
and it's getting suspiciously fat lately, and I don't want a litter of kittens under the house.
enough is enough.
we have sealed up it's two egress points, so it's dug under. so today I sealed it up again and flooded the area with OrangeGlo stinky cleaner.
I'm on the list for the no kill folks to come out and trap it and spay/neuter it but I just feel so bad.

1. are there other places she can have her litter? |
|
Because if she'd found that place, and is about to give birth, she could really be stranded. Can you put something, anything out to help her? I understand why you don't want kittens under the house, but still - this is a pregnant creature who needs help. For just a little bit longer?

3. not sure it's a she, much less being pregnant |
|
it could be getting fatter cuz the baby jackrabbits have been born and it's eating better
there are plenty of outbuildings and hidey holes around for it to chose from.
it's welcome to live in the big shop out back and keep the mice population down out there.
if it would settle down and stop being so aggressive to my cat, I'd even probably feed it.

7. Cats are something else I am tellin you |
|
In a different story. About a year ago while visiting a friend who was doing an add-on to his house I couldn't help but laughing at his three cats.
He had this large sand pile in his back yard which was being used to mix cement for his add-on project. His cats basically claimed the sand pile as THEIR toilet. There was nothing you could do about it he said. They simply were not going to go to the bathroom anywhere else. What made me laugh and why I asked him WTF? When we went out into the back yard his cats raced over to the sand pile which was covered with a tarp. His cats looked they were standing there with their legs crossed waiting to go to the bathroom. As soon as he pulled the tarp off they all dug their little hole and did their thing.
Weird... :silly:
