19. As my sister proves every year... |
|
you don't need to to know anything about basketball to do well. She's competitive every year.

8. At first I was pissed... |
|
because I FORGOT to pick a winner in the championship game.
Turns out...uh...It really wouldn't have made a difference!
Congrats Jimbo! At least we kept the traveling trophy in Wisconsin!

As Jesse Jackson says, "Keep hope alive." I wasn't going to give up until the final horn. I was in the 65-70 percentile for the middle rounds, but no one ahead of me in the standings picked Kansas to take the title, so I knew I still had a slim chance. Finished on a 6-1 run.
The same bracket won me $220 in the office pool. And better yet, beat out my boss's kid for the cash. :)
On edit: Thanks to LynneSin for putting this on again this year!

12. Linkie again? I was on vacation and my team lost in the first round, so I kinda checked out early. |
|
I did, IIRC, have Kansas in the final....

that you finished higher than me..I was trying to be objective..(well okay I had Georgetown in the final but they were a no2 seed..not unreasonable). Well, I guess its better to be lucky than good huh? Pffft!:P

14. But did he beat the "No-brainer?" The No-brainer is picking the highest seed in every game. |
|
The Final Four would be seeded by the final AP poll standings.
I'm guessing that the No-brainer did very well-- Davidson was really the only glitch...
