4. My official total--17 states
Edited on Thu Apr-10-08 01:02 PM by PeterU
Maryland
Florida
Virginia
North Carolina
South Carolina
Georgia
Delaware
Pennyslvania
West Virginia
New Jersey
New York
Vermont
Kentucky
Nevada
Arizona
Connecticut (but just for a bathroom break)
Texas (but just for a layover)

I have been on an airplane which has landed in Alabama, but I never disembarked from the plane, so I don't count that one.

In order for me to count as having "been to" a state, I must either walk on the ground itself, or in a fixed structure on the ground itself. Therefore, I do not count flyovers, layovers where I did not get off the plane, or any instances where I drove through a state without stopping and getting out of the car.

Additionally, I have been to two Canadian provinces--Quebec and Ontario--and one island of the Bahamas, Nassau. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the entire extent of my traveling in my 28 years of life.

24. Oh, and Washington, DC, too....
I know it doesn't count as a state, but it is a part of the country, so I'll say 17 states and 1 district.

I can understand where you are coming from.

I'm an O's fan by birth, but after moving to Florida, I've adopted the Marlins as my hometeam.

As long as you have some room in your heart for the Orioles, you are okay in my book. (And so long as your other team isn't the Yankees, of course...)

Where in Maryland are you, may I ask?

Yuck.

I'm in Charles County - less than a mile from where they're building the stadium for our new minor league team, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. We have a 25-game package -- can't wait!!

You were considering putting up a Blue Crab at your house, if I remember correctly.

Seeing that I was right across the river in Calvert County, I would have loved if Southern Maryland had a pro team when I was growing up.

The states colored red are the ones I have visited. I know, I know...I was a sheltered kid. :)

Get your map here, and in the "Large Embedded Map" field, copy the text that begins with "http" and ends in ".png". Just that portion of the code is necessary to get the map to post correctly here.
