2. It all started when he tried to sing the Star Spangled Banner
in Naked Gun, I think. It was a long time ago & I'm lucky not to have died laughing. :D

4. Two words: Prom Night.
And not the crap "remake" in the theatres now. The classic disco-dancing 1980 picture.

Second best Leslie role: the bare-chested he-man in Day of the Animals.

5. He's been around forever
I remember him from a Walt Disney Present series called "Swamp Fox" back in the late 1950s.

7. Frank Drebin
Commissioner: I dont want any trouble like you had on the south side last year.

Drebin: When I see a bunch of weirdos stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in front of a full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards, that's my policy.

Commissioner: That was a Shakesphere in the Park production of Julius Caesar, you moron! You killed 5 actors! Good ones!

9. I hated his rating system. It said nobody watched Star Trek and that's why it got canceled.

12. Forbidden Planet
Although, I watch it more for Ann Francis, "Robby" and the "Mosnter from the Id".

I think the first comedy role was "Airplane"

13. **ahem**
Leslie's last name is Nielsen, not Nielson. :)

Forbidden Planet--the original
name a show of the 60s--he was in at least one episode

Leslie once said all his life he was a dramatic actor and it was only when he went to comedy that his career soared. He never quite figured that out.
