Have you used the snore pillow? Other snore remedies?
For the summer, we don't have a guest room into which one of us can disappear occasionally. Mrs. V. can't use ear plugs. I use those Breathe Right Snore Strips - not the stick-on-your-nose things; these are like Listerine strips. She says they work somewhat.

Losing weight is going very slowly, and I need a solution before I drop 100 pounds - which will take about 2 years if i keep going at this moderate pace. Do you know anything about surgery?

Any suggestions - yes, snarky ones that will make me laugh - gratefully accepted.

1. I used a spray for a while that my partner said worked well.
But I find that what works best is if I keep my sinuses clean with a daily neti pot wash, and don't get drunk before sleeping, exercise, and keep the weight down.

I used the stick on nose things a few times (one box worth), but they really did crap. I think they're a scam.

2. Check this out

Lots of good stuff on the external links too.

I would be nervous about surgery. Losing weight has helped me a bit (or so my girlfriend says). I also heard simply sowing a tennis ball to your back of your shirt can help because it forces you to sleep on your side.

3. I second the neti pot.
Clear sinuses can help to alleviate some snoring.

4. My husband has this snore pillow:
http://www.brookstone.com/store/product.asp?product_code=572966&wid=10&cid=1006&sid=100601&search_type=subcategory&prodtemp=t2&cm_re=A_SKY*572966*572966

It's pricey but we were given a gift certificate for Christmas and used it on the pillow. It actually works! However, over time, it gets softer and he starts rolling onto his back again, though not nearly as often as he used to. Also, we use a white noise machine, about $50 from amazon.com. That has also helped tremendously. If he's really loud, he'll still wake me up but if he's just breathing loud, the white noise machine helps cover it and keeps him from waking me up.

By the way, he's six feet tall and weighs about 155 pounds so losing weight wouldn't help him. :)

Good luck! :hi:
