1. That bunker shot

was one of the best I've ever seen.

With all the "lucky breaks" he got yesterday, I think it was destined for him to win!

12. No kidding -- downhill, down a slope toward a threatening pond

The golf dissers have no idea the nerves and skill that required. Big John was something like 11 for 12 in bunker up-and-downs for the week. I think Tiger was 1 for 7, while losing by 2 shots.

So true about the luck factor. Daly banked one off a root and through a bunker earlier in the round, turning a possible bogey into a medium birdie putt.

I'm thrilled for John Daly, but admit to a cynical self interest. Daly has been yanked from the bettable golf matchups the last few years due to lagging results. I'd love to speculate against him in the US Open this June at premium-on-patience Shinnecock Hills.

10. NASCAR like logos on shirt

The announcers mentioned that he was wearing "NASCAR like logos" on his shirt. I think they must find the 84 lumber company "below" the standards of the PGA. TOO BAD I was glad to see a guy with a BEER gut like mine win!!!!!
