Court Of The Crimson King
Edited on Thu May-01-08 07:00 PM by Archae
By King Crimson, listening to it right now on a "Classic Rock" channel. Rather weird...

And why is it I'm reminded of Spinal Tap's "Stonehenge," while listening to it?

2. That's the only way anyone can get into it...
Stoned out of their gourds. :smoke:

3. Disagree. Stone-cold-sober, I still enjoy it...
...Maybe you're not hearing it the right way.

4. While I much prefer King Crimson's output with Belew...
...I still enjoy that track and "21st Century Schizoid Man."

6. Excellent. I scored during that album late at night. Drugs, sex, self importance, hair.
Over orchestrated, but I love it. Ah, the memories.

Those I can remember. Now I'm humming it for the rest of the night.

7. Never listened to King Crimson much, but did a party gig about 15 years ago...
with a drummer named Ian Wallace, who I knew had been with King Crimson at some point. Just googled him to see if he was on the record you're talking about and was stunned to find out he died of cancer last year. Nice guy, and killer drummer. Not knowing much about Crimson or bands in what I perhaps shallowly pegged as the "art-rock" bag, I assumed he'd be a technically accomplished but somewhat restrained and maybe even wimpy drummer . Was I wrong; he rocked and rolled like a mofo.......rest in peace, Ian...
