I could use a little, love, support, prayers, etc. today.

My husband has had to make to tough decision to take his mother off of life support. The doctors have all agreed she is not going to improve and most likely she can not survive off of the respirator.
So this afternoon we are having them take her off all machines. We had to go through this a few years ago with his sister who had cancer. It is going to be a long hard day for all of us.
So please say a prayer or send some support our way.

Put it in writing. No one should have to wonder if they are doing what their loved one wanted or not. It is painful enough to let go without those questions.

9. I've been there.

You and your loved ones are in my thoughts today. My dad suffered his final stroke 5 years ago and lingered for 9 days with one neurosurgeon telling us that he was going to be fine. The rest of the staff knew better and advised us to cease the life support and let him go. Fortunately, we were all in agreement. :hug:
