7. Find that shut-off valve--FAST!
Edited on Tue Feb-17-04 04:30 PM by GainesT1958
They may have to find it in the upstairs bathroom, too, if indeed that's where the leak is coming from. Had that happen to me the second year I was in my first condo--it was bad news, to be sure!:scared:

Hope they can fix it for you, and fast--really stinks that it's coinciding with you having the flu. Hope you feel a LOT better--and dryer--soon! ;-)

B-)

9. You too!! Happened to me once as well.
Previous owner had set a 5 gallon bucket on the ceiling above the guest bathroom to catch the overflow from the A/C condenser.

Didn't tell me about it.

The bucket filled up, soaked the ceiling and came crashing through at about 2AM one night.

Water everywhere, I had no idea what had happened.

Good Luck!!

10. My hubby once flooded the downstairs neighbors by shoving
corn husks down the garbage disposal! Were they ever PISSED!!

Seriously, I would be a bit concerned about the levels of mold, fungi, and bacteria that you are curently being exposed to. I once helped to fix my mothers bathroom - tore out a section of the tile and wall surrounding the faucet. It smelled musty and foul. I, she, and one of my kids ended getting really sick a few days later.

Good Luck!

13. I'm so sorry to hear that.

I'm in daily fear of the same thing happening to me. The woman who lives above me practically lives in her bathroom and is constantly stomping around up there, especially in the wee hours of the morning. She once asked me if she was making too much noise and when I told her that she was often very noisy around 2 and 3 in the morning she replied, "Oh, that's not me." I know she lives alone up there and she didn't say that she had visitors who might be making this noise. It's simply "not me". It's like living in a Roman Polanski movie.
