Another update on my BIL's heiney zit |
|
Fascinating subject, non?
Well, now I know a bit more about how it all came about (if he ever finds out I posted this he'll kill me!)- it all started with an ingrown hair, and things just... er, "snowballed". Anyhoo, they diagnosed him at the hospital as having a staph infection which went into the lining of his heart, which is why he got (and remains) so sick.
They're going to go back in tomorrow to re-irrigate the wound, and if he can't fight it off quickly enough they'll do it a third time. Needless to say, he's going to be in the hospital through the weekend, and probably somewhat beyond.
The incision they made ended up (man, this story is rife with puns!) being seven inches long. It's gonna take the best part of a year for it to completely heal, if it ever does, and in the meantime he won't be able to sit comfortably, or ride in a car, or sleep on his back...
Don't squeeze 'em, boys and girls. If it happens to you just put yer ass in a sling and sashay to the doctor and let him/her have their fun. As they say, it's the little things that'll do it to ya. They ain't kidding even a little!

2. That's really kind of scary |
|
Was it actually the squeezing that caused all the trouble, or was it the decision not to go in for a lancing? If he'd kept his fingers off it, would it have cleared up on it's own?

3. Yep, it was him going for the premature ejac... well, you know... |
|
Squeezing it pressed the debris down into the muscle tissue and it spread from there.
