Nightly Roll Call for Insomniacs! I did better today ...
I got up earlier today and did some shopping.

I had my sushi fix this afternoon! :bounce:

I also bought some fresh salmon, scallops, and shrimp to cook for my mom on Mother's Day. She loves that meal, especially with the brown sugar glaze I make for the salmon.

I'm already getting tired. I soaked in a hot bath tonight and already feel like Jell-O. Zzzzzzzz.

1. I'm a 'finals induced' insomniac... working on
a semi-lengthy paper for my PoliSci class (no actual exams in that class... just research and analysis)...

Wanna write an 8 page analysis of some 350+ yr old colonial documents?

That's what i thought... me neither!

2. LOL! No thanks!
I paid my dues with the college days, as a single mother and working full time. No steam left in me now.

But good luck!

4. I'll trade you.
But, you have to get a 93.06 or better on a final exam about financial derivatives, binomial trees, the Black-Scholes model...

:-)

You have until Wednesday morning to study, so get cracking.

3. I did well today myself, IMHO.
I was up by the crack of 11:30, and got a lot of stuff done.

Finished and posted my big fat LolThread (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x3259855)
ran a load of laundry, and got in five hours of shaving/filing/sanding
on the art-furniture commission I'm working on.

Plus, I made tomato/parmesan bisque and grilled-cheese sandwiches
for supper after Sweetie got home from her weekly volleyball game.

Potato bread + American Muenster: that makes a great "grilled cheese", I tellyawhut!

5. It appears that I'm in a full blown insomniac episode...
Usually, it only lasts a night or two. But this week, it's been 4 days now. Does anybody else's insomnia seem to be on a regular schedule? Mine comes in intervals of 25 days, be it 25 50 or 75. It is pretty darn close to right on the mark too.

8. As I recall, you've had a rather stressful couple days with a major life change to deal with.
I wish you the best.

11. thanks..
that's definitely been a source of the stress. It doesn't help that I'm a natural night owl. I can't go to bed before at least midnight... the gf usually has to drag me to bed.. polar opposites, we are.

6. I'm so wide awake I'm sitting at my desk troubleshooting computers
after doing the same since about 10 a.m.

I'll quit after I get one more operating system installed and the upgrades started.

I MIGHT get to bed by three, and I MIGHT pass out by four.

I did all that sort of stuff this afternoon, and then tonight when DU took a crap, and now I'm too tired.

13. The sushi was wonderful!
Mine was all with cooked ingredients, BTW. And the wasabi - whoosh! It was so HOT it gave me brain freezes and brain farts! I had to take a bath to cool off!

I see you saved the day today for a buddy. I'm glad you were there when he needed some help. Thank you.

22. What are you watching that is 3 hours long?
I really enjoyed some long movies about Queen Elizabeth, Mary Queen of Scots, and other movies about English royalty and history. I find them fascinating!

21. I'm up as usual...
googling roses and day lilies. I'm trying to figure out what to plant against my 40 foot fence row.

The lilies are winning so far, less maintenance.
