My nephew has been working with search and rescue dogs and is now ready to get a puppy of his own to train. The German Shepherd puppy will be a FEMALE and he wanted to name her something like a friend did - he named his male puppy Sherlock.
Agatha Christie is out, as he's an Oklahoma fan and a dog named Aggie just won't work. ;)
If ya got ideas for a girl's name, throw them out.
Thanks!
:)

'Course, if he wants to be even more gender-non-specific, he could go with RuPaul or Frank N. Furter. :D
Edit: Or Dennis Rodman.

I am going to name the next female dog that shows up here "Harriet". (Unless its one of those hairless chineese crested dogs)

I don't know if he has named one "John" for me or not but I do know he has named one "Carl" & one "Ron" after the two guys he works with directly. I have always wondered what he does to those poor fish if Ron & Carl piss him off at work.........

"Adler" is also German for eagle, so that would work nicely for a shepherd.

I think a great name for a search and rescue dog would be Phoenix. The eternal hope of rising from the ashes back into life. My two cents.
Hope all is going well with you! Call or PM me if you want to get together.
