New family member I'd like to introduce
This is Chloe, she's 2 months old, like to nibble on hands, fingers and toes in particular. We're gently teaching her that that is a no no.
She has 4 adopted sisters and 2 adopted brothers. They have, for the most part accepted her.
Don't worry, we'll help her find her way.
ONe of the other ferrets, Missy has taken to being her big sister and keeping an eye out on her mischevious ways, so they get to live together while the others share their own cage.
We';; intorduce her slowly to all of them, until everyone is quite happy

Chloe smiles

What are you?

Warmth

I only hope if I ever come back as someone's pet, I come back to a place like ours...nothing is off limits..my dog naps and sleeps with me...cats are, well cats...the ferrets are spoiled as is Godzilla, who only gets the fatest crickets available!

The dreaded ferret ball

6. Let me guess...
You are an animal person? Me too. Sometimes (most times) I like animals more than people.

Khash.

17. (animals over people)
I have to respect animals more than people generally.
Humans usually find that offensive so I've learned to keep it quiet :)

10. I got a chuckle out of your post
a friend of mine says the same thing about my husband and me - that if there is reincarnation, she wants to come back as one of our dogs. Congratulations on the new little ferret - or as my stepdaughter, who also has ferrets, says - "oh lookee, it's another frikken' weasel."

5. Never a dull moment..well, not never...
they sleep great during the day. IN the morning and nighttime they get thier excercise time and just go nuts all over my daughters room. They play all kinds of games.
Lot's of entertainment for sure.

I miss having a baby ferret around, they always seem to like sleeping on my neck. Hope you and Chloe have many healthy years together with at least a 95% litter box hit rate.

13. In our house the rule is no
corner is left empty. So there is a litter box in every corner of the ferrets roaming rooms. They own the second story and share it with the cats.

14. We tried and they would go BESIDE the damned thing!!
So they get nabbed, scruffed, and a quick time-out and then back to fun time.

16. Her first night last night was a little rough
I wake up at 1:30am to go to work, and she must have heard my alarm, because all of a sudden I could hear this little whimpering crying sound from my daughter's bedroom.
It was the most pitiful sound.
My daugher came out with her and we figure she was just having some new home jitters and a little freaked out. So we got a small cage we have, set-up a nice warm hammock for her and she slept peacefully beside my wife for the rest of the night.

18. Cute
Well named, by the way. Another random note: I read an Icelandic book set in early 20th century Reykjavik. An old couple on a farm were introduced to a sick woman who also went by the name of Chloe. But, the couple weren't used to the name so were forced to pronounce it "Klö".
