I got a brand new pair of roller skates....

Well, I just ORDERED a brand new pair of outdoor roller skates, and I'm so excited! I used to go skating every Sunday at the local roller rink. Decided I wanted to start skating again, but outdoors, so I just ordered a pair!

WOOHOO!!!!

I am so excited! They will be here in about 3 days!

I've got a pair of quads, too (that I haven't skated on in about a decade.) I always did street skating and I know Houston has several groups I could join if I ever get back into it. Just gotta replace most of my pads. I can't tell you how often those kneepads saved me from getting surgery! ;)

If you're getting onto the street, are you good at jumping curbs and sets of stairs? Sometimes it's necessary... (if you skate on university campuses, that is :P)

But I bet I could put a lot of folks under the table with my backward skating and my amature jumps.

And I WILL be wearing a helmet, along with elbow and knee pads.

My family used to go skating every Sunday at an indoor rink.

I just go a pair of blades 'cause I've been doing a lot of ice skating lately but now that it's summer the rinks have closed.

It's not quite as similar to ice skating as I thought it would be. :P
