Super strict word limits on term papers make me cranky...
So I'm working on this paper that's due tomorrow (long story as to why it's not done already), and it has a minimum word count requirement of 3,000. Literally. As in, if your paper is 2,999 words, you get an F.

Grrrrrr. Just wanted to get that out. Blah. x(

4. I don't know which I dislike more...A minimum limit or a maximum.
We had an assignment recently (same class) that was 3 essays of no more than 500 words each. Challenging, but I aced that. I try to be very concise when I write...But, I suppose I can flip the "extremely verbose" switch on for the rest of the day. I'm almost at 1,000 so far.

:)

5. I've never understood why some professors choose to use...
the minimum word requirement.

There can really great papers written with fewer than the required minimum amount.

9. It's basically a paper on Galbraith's
"The Affluent Society" and the relationship between the American economic and social systems over the course of capitalist development. Exciting, eh? :P

My Prof is my Dept Chair...and he expects a lot. Hardest Prof in the Dept, of course. Greta teacher though, otherwise.

10. so will he actually count each and every word on the page?
If so that seems like a ridiculous waste of time...on second thought, he'll probably just get a TA to do it :P
