Baseball scoring question... |
|
Say a batter comes up with 2 on and during the course of his at bat, a WP is thrown and the runner at third scores. Then the batter hits a HR - does the batter get credit for only 2 RBI or 3?

4. No credit I say. But it would be counted as an earned run against the pitcher in that |

This whole "specator sports" thing strikes me as, I don't know, voyeuristic.
You sick freak chatbot.

The batter only gets credit for the number of people on base, and him/herself when the home run is it.

14. The batter gets 2 RBI |
|
The run scored on a wild pitch counts as an earned run charged to the pitcher, though.
