Tortoise drama!
The dog was barking like crazy at the back door. I went to check it out and there was Rosebud, the tortoise, right by the back step. He was tangled in the string from a hanging planter that was empty and lying by the door.

So Rosebud escaped from his pen, walked across the yard, stepped up onto the wooden deck, and almost made to the door.

I wonder what he wanted.

10. Yeah
He's real nice. Always gets attention if I bring out in the front yard to graze - passersby are just fascinated.

he's pretty easy going, low maintenance. Some hay, some water, a heated house. Occasionally some carrots, fresh greens or rose petals as treats.

He dances if you rub a specific part of his shell. That's cute.

9. Yeah they do
but he's got a way to go before the wheelbarrow stage. He's maybe 20-25 lbs now, maybe 18" long.

He was about the size of a half-dollar when I got him. Looked like a little matchbox VW bug.

17. No
My first thought was to free Rosebud from his bondage. Poor little guy. The second job was to thank the dog for being a good brother and alerting me.
