Here's to the California Supreme Court, for making a tough but just decision, and for making the previously unimaginable dreams of many couple come true today!

Felt just as good as when the Massachusetts ruling came down.

9. The pic of Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon when Newsome married them in 2004
made me cry... i had read a couple of their books while doing research for school, and was thrilled that they were the first in line when Mayor Newsome decided to do the right thing back then. Glad they have lived to see this day...

11. 52 years together in that photo...
My parents were only married for 29 (dad died), and my grandparents had a couple of marriages each.

I wish Oktoberain, OktoberKid, and I could just pack up and move right now...
we're celebrating our 9th anniversary this summer, and our son is even pestering us wanting to know when we''re going to get married?! *L*
I love my kid... seriously... he makes me smile every day.

4. I'll join you in the toast, but
why this was a tough decision is beyond me. May the other states on the fence follow suit.

One of these days, 'full faith and credit' will mean something again.

That's typical of me online, though... in person, i talk too much.

14. I lurk a bit but really like the interaction
It's weird that I get a per post tracker when I don't really say all that much most of the time. Just sorta seeing who are the most friendly posters and what folks like to chat about.

Congrats on you and your partner. Are you/have you gone the marriage route?

16. The Mrs. and i currently live in WV, which offers neither marriage, DP, or CU possibilities
Once we're finished with our respective undergrad programs (WVU... I'm in PoliSci, she's in English) however, we are likely to move somewhere a lot more supportive of our rights as equal citizens.
