2. You mean she's not just singing about being a pretty flower?
I should mention that this song is on a children's program, no less.

6. To be fair, she's playing the role of an actual flower in the song, but still...

If she starts talking about "cock my pistil," I'm calling the FCC.

This is very ancient sexual imagery. I doubt a kid is going to get it, though. And it doesn't sound like that was at all what was intended.

16. I expect not. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar
Even if it's a throbbing and ponderous cigar.

20. Analogous, yes...
Also, for example, "Feelin' Love" as sung by Paula Cole (I heard it as part of the City of Angels soundtrack.) http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/cityofangels/feelinlove.htm

It starts out thus:
"You make me feel like a sticky pistil
Leaning into her stamen.
You make me feel like Mr. Sunshine himself.
You make me feel like splendor in the grass where we're rolling
Damn skippy baby..."

Here's a Youtube link, though this song might be deemed by some as "not safe for work" :P

23. I'd forgotten about that song!
that's my favorite song of hers, except for a live version I heard her do of Black Dog. After I saw the end of one of her shows, I was a fan.. before, it was too much cowboys gone.

that song also reminds me of this one by Lucinda Williams - same sort of female sex positive that I like.
