it and offers to install it!!!

Yesterday and today, I got messages from Comcast.net (The Fan), Zillow.com, YouTube.com and others.

Interestingly enough, this seems to be involving Internet Explorer browser only. If I go to the Firefox browser, I don't have this problem (but I have other problems....). Backstory: My husband bought a new computer, and I have inherited his older HP Pavilion 9680C. I also got this problem.

Below is the site for installation, but even after the Download and the Install, the next time I try to open the "Macromedia Flash Player" -- I get the same story.

Anyone here want to help?

Thanks for your time.

RL

PS. I'll put this in the Computer Support forum, too, but don't have much patience with these problems.

1. First try these steps
1. Quit all open programs. This step is important because other programs may be using the Flash Player, and if they are, the uninstaller will fail silently.
2. Run the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller.
3. Reinstall your Flash player.

4. It would really have been helpful if the manufacturer had those instructions posted on their site!
Oh, I see they do recommend closing all browser windows and other programs.

But neither my software analyst husband nor I thought about deleting the programs completely.

Anyway... have a great week, Nomad, and I really appreciate your help.

6. That was
going to be my advice.

It's the uninstall part that is critical.

8. Only the Fates know how pleasant or unpleasant the coming week may be
But at least now I won't have any demonic forces telling me that FlashPlayer isn't working properly!

Thanks for asking this question.
