15. Did I say it was a breakthrough? |
|
All I'm saying is why can't there be a movie that only appeals to women? And I guess I should add only SOME women? They make movies like that for men every day?
Why can't those of us who love it enjoy our fluff in peace?

21. To be honest - they were hardly wealthy |
|
Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) was always living paycheck-to-paycheck and barely had the funds to put down a down payment when she finally bought her apartment. I know that was covered many times in the movie. I think that Charlotte came from a welltodo family but she came into her money from marrying & divorcing a doctor (and then marrying her divorce lawyer).
It was never about how much money they had for why I watched the show. I happen to be the same exact age as the characters Miranda & Carrie (Charlotte is a year younger, Samatha was about 5 years older) and alot of the shit they put with dating, well I've been down that path too. And the nice thing about the movie is they age all the characters pretty much to the age they should be (the movie takes place several years after the series ends).
Not everyone likes SATC but it was an amazing show that I truly adored. I can't wait for the movie and I'm sure when it's on DVD I'll own it just like I do all the regular seasons of the show.
Everyone has their favorite show - this is mine!

4. I will be babysitting our 4 month old while my wife goes and sees it. |
|
And if our little girl has a diarrea explosion and I am the one to change it, it would still be more pleasant an experience for me than having to sit through 2 hours of that.

8. Crazy excited to see it! |
|
I really enjoyed the show all those years, and have missed my "girlfriends" something fierce. My "Stanford" and his boyfriend and I are all going to see it together -- the perfect way to see the movie! :D
I saw a behind the scenes piece on HBO the other night -- I think it is going to be exactly what I want it to be -- and I think the critics are going to savage it.
But I don't care, I'm going to be a happy camper.

17. Well...they need a plot twist... |
|
and the setting is Carrie's wedding so I'd be shocked...Shocked, I tell you...if he doesn't stay true to character and break it off or stand her up. I mean he's got to come to his senses some time.
This post is the result of my ex-gf making me watch SITC with her, something I came to hate her for. Also, a strong dislike of SJP. Further, that sets the table for a sequel. We could be looking at the start of the Star Trek of the next 40 years...one series, 200 movies.
