I saw Radiohead last night.
Edited on Mon May-19-08 12:27 PM by redqueen
Best concert ever ever ever. Ever!

I'm still floatey and blissed out. They played the two songs I most wanted to hear (Everything In Its Right Place & A Wolf At The Door)... they were perfect.

Also I got Thom's & Colin's autographs and got to shake their hands and thank them for coming here to play, and tell them how very much I love the band.

Awesome, awesome, awesome night. Magical.

:loveya:

The set list (pretty sure it's complete):

all i need
there there
bangers and mash
nude
pyramid song
weird fishes/arpeggi
national anthem
dollars and cents
faust arp
videotape
optimistic
reckoner
everything in its right place
idioteque
bodysnatchers
fake plastic trees
(exit)

encore 1:

jigsaw falling into place
house of cards
exit music (for a film)
(exit 2)

encore 2:

the bends
you and whose army
paranoid android

more :loveya:

1. A wolf at the door is the best radiohead song ever. EVER.
No question. :)
I also really love 'All I Need'...did they do that one?
I'm so jealous...

7. Oh I would have loved to have seen them then...
I was never lucky enough to get tickets before... and never flush with cash enough to buy them after the scalpers got done buying them all. :P

I feel like very Lucky indeed. :)

9. In Rainbows was a lot better than I thought it would be.
I'd say it's their best one since OK Computer.

11. Did you check out AmpLive's In Rainbows remixes when I posted them?
Edited on Mon May-19-08 12:43 PM by primate1
If not, I think they'd be up your alley.

The Video Tapes remix with Del has to be one of the best hip-hop songs I've heard in a while.

They are perfect.

Heh... I've loved them since Pablo Honey came out. NOBODY likes that one but me, I don't think.

Plus hip-hop, rock and country plus everything else, but jazz takes a lot of the top spots. :P

No shortage of greatness there.

I just can't see anything past the newness of Johnny G... or Thom's sublime vocals. They are magic. :)

Johnny G. did it himself. I haven't listened to it yet, but I've heard it's excellent.

Whereas I liked OK Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows instantly.

My favorites off that one: Sail To The Moon, Wolf At The Door, I Will, Myxomatosis, Where I End And You Begin, Drunken Punch Up At A Wedding, There There... oooh and Scatterbrain, that one is so good.

Hah... I love them all. :P

35. I have Yankee Hotel Foxtrot... and I love it.
But I can't seem to bring myself to buy anything else. I heard them perform a single off the new one on Letterman and some other shows, and I dunno... it just didn't grab me like I Am Trying To Break Your Heart did.

I love his voice though. Love love love. :)

It's got a note of familiarity to it that reminds me of the feeling of getting to sleep in your own bed after a long vacation.
