How do you feel about plain cottage cheese? |
|
In favor? Against? Neutral?
Me, I love it. :9
Sniffa is horrified by that. :D
I'm gonna eat some right now, in fact :D
What say you? :hi:

3. Oh yes. Yum. But I always require a little bit of salt and pepper. |
|
Also--get a bag of original Lays potato chips and a tub of cottage cheese. Carefully scoop up cottage cheese with chip. Insert into mouth. Chew. Die happy. :9

By itself or with fruit. I love to cut a cantaloupe in half, scoop out the seedy party, and put a half a pint of cottage cheese in there. Yummmmmm.

21. It's vile if it's the wrong consistency. |
|
Most are too chalky with not enough liquid. It has to be large smooth curd with the right about of creamy whey. It's hard to find, so if you see me in the grocery store shaking the cottage cheese by my ear to listen for the slosh of whey, just snicker and wave. :P

32. Aw... I just remembered I'm supposed to stop eating dairy. |
|
I have horrible horrible allergies, and my sister suggested not eating dairy. I started yesterday. Or stopped, rather.
Anyway, I was just remembering this thread, and how I like to get a big spoonful of lovely cottage cheese as a snack when I'm feeling peckish.
No more of that I guess. :(

I've tried SO hard to like the stuff, but my throat just closes up and my barf reflex kicks in every time I try. It's the only food that literally makes me vomit if I try to eat it. :-(
You should see me lunge for the remote when one of those Knudson cottage cheese commercials comes on. :scared:
I don't know if it's a taste thing or a texture thing. Hell, even typing about it is grossing me out.
Tell sniffa I feel his pain.
Edited to add: I even have a hard time with curd-y ricotta. :scared:

Half a cup of no-fat cottage cheese sprinkled with dill weed, eight ounces of low sodium V-8, and several crackers. Mmmmmmmm. One of my favorite lunches!
I've come to love the no-fat variety best. I don't know how, but it tastes creamier than the others!
