that he was almost starved to death. I think he is yorkie and I think he is about a year old. I have two yorkies and he doesn't look like either of them but he does have yorkie traits. I don't know his name but I call him Jack and after only one day, he comes when I call out that name. He isn't neutered and I am pretty sure he isn't UTD on his shots and he probably needs a heart worm test. So off to the Vet he goes tomorrow. I already love him so much!

3. I used to have a Yorkie/Maltese mix.
Talk about a beautiful dog. He was 18 when he died. Amazing breed of dog.

Hope Jack has a long happy home with you. He sounds like he's already won your heart. :D

18. Well my hope is that all of my yorkies live a good long life and I hope that I am here to take care
of them, because yorkies are very much people dogs and I don't think mine would do well if I weren't there for them.

7. He is so easy to love! Poor baby is half starved. I can feel his ribs and his backbone.
But his eyes are clear and bright and his teeth are clean. He doesn't know how to play and he gets tired easily.. but I think he will be okay.

14. He's doing great!

We just got back from the park and he is asleep on the couch. :D

He got his stitches out last Friday. We need to get a re-check in a couple months to make sure that his heart still sounds good -- at that point we'll know if the procedure *really* worked, but so far so good!

:hi:

20. Good for you for doing a rescue. I feel so sorry for abandoned animals. I have a rescued cat and I
love him to death even though he has behavioural issues and nobody in my family will allow him in their homes. He's the most affectionate cat. He's also easily spooked by fireworks, vacuums, thunder, etc.

22. That is so wonderful of you!

I am so glad you raised your limit by one. I did the same to go from two cats to three in an apartment and I've never regretted it.

I hope he's healthy and doesn't cost you too much to bring up to date. Please post pictures when you can.

My cat, Gray, is in my lap right now and we both want to see pictures. :)

24. I love people who rescue animals
I adopted a cat who had been badly mistreated. She had had her teeth kicked out and her tail broken. The SPCA couldn't adopt her out. She hated men (I guess a guy did it) and only tolerated women. But she became my bestest friend ever.

I'm happy Jack is now part of your family and will be loved and taken care of :)

Khash.

26. Congratulations...
to both you and Jack!!!

The best part about adopting a rescue is that they enrich your life just as much as you do theirs.

I have 3 rescue cats. One still has serious emotional problems...he's scared to death of people. I got him at a shelter and I don't know his story, but he was clearly abused. He does at least like me, most of the time. I just hate to think what his life would be like otherwise, and I can't imagine mine without him.

The other 2 have a less traumatic story, but both had uncertain futures when we found each other. And I too raised my "absolute" limit from 2 to 3. ;)
