which is a life threatening illness is not something I usually do, so no, I do not believe everyone has at least one addiction. I think that minimizes true addictions by trying to universalize the "addictive" problem

First by working 80 hours a week...then, when those hours lessened, homeschooling my son who was asked to leave his middle school because they didn't like his sense of style and....the knitting. I would sit with him while he worked, and knit for hours. And hours. And hours.

Knitting can be very addictive.
