it is because you used muscles today working in the yard that you do not use while exercising.
Working a broader range of muscles will help prevent that in the future.

They don't have a chance to properly rebuild after a workout. This can stress them unnecessarily. They need at least 24 hours to rest, twice that if you're 40 or over.
