Just because they've got a Frenchie. :P
Being serious, with a reason such as that, you can't and I wouldn't consider myself a supporter of this club, truly.
Basketball is my favourite American sport, still I wouldn't say I watch it often.
As a child I was in a brief frenzy collecting NBA cards.
My father set up a basketball hoop in our backyard, although it's been years since I shot some hoops.
I played it at school, occasionally. I tried to use my height to my advantage, although I'm not sure how good I was, exactly.
It's kind of funny that this thread appears to me today. A few days ago I was reading an old Goosebumps book - one of the lead characters is called Bird. :D

22. Do you Celtics fans have any idea of how much debt you owe to NC college basketball? |
|
The only reason they won all those games against Wilt Chamberlain's teams in the 1960s was that UNC destroyed Wilt's psyche in the 1957 collegiate national championship game.
The MVP of the first 1980s championship was Cornbread Maxwell, from UNC-Charlotte.
And I don't remember which stars you got for trading away Bob McAdoo, who went to: UNC. Without North Carolina your franchise would be the Washington Bullets, just a footnote.
