My brother-in-law collects Studebakers...

and decided his niece (my youngest) should have one for graduation.

I don't think she likes it... :rofl:



Not that she'll be driving it much with gas at over $4.00...





I originally posted this in the photo forum, but thought maybe some car people here in The Lounge might enjoy it.

4. My in-laws collect Studies...
my bil has 19 (I think) including 3 hawks of different types...and my fil has either 7 or 9 (I forget) a couple of station wagons with the sliding roofs,a 63 lark converible, a truck, and a couple of hawks.

They are really into Studebakers... :D

7. Our second family car was a 53 Commander 2dr coupe with a 289 V8. That


car was way ahead of its time in terms of style.

IIRC the Packard 289 had a Paxton Supercharger.

6. My bil has a white Avanti that is pretty cherry...
It's a great road trip ride...I think my fil also has a red one; not positive, though...he had a special barn built for his cars at his place in Oregon.
