1. I've got 11,845 songs and 40 videos and I've still got 81.1GB free.
I just load it with full albums/discographies of bands I like.

5. I have a 2 gig IPOD....
And I can actually fit all my music PLUS a harry potter book. Like the bigger ones. It's fantastic!
I say go for it. Books on IPOD are WONDERFUL!

6. Podcasts
Thom Hartmann's complete show it free. I've been working my way through the archives. I'm in September of 2007 right now.

Also Ring of Fire, Seder on Sundays (now sadly retired), Real Time with Bill Mahr, the complete Countdown with Keith Olbermann (yay, finally!), and the free tidbits of The Stephanie Miller Show.

7. I have 62.5 GB free on my 80GB ipod.
I have had it for 1 week now.And want some audiobooks to listen to but I don't know where to get them from. And I know I am going to have to buy an external HD for all the music I am about to download.

8. I've got a ton of photos on mine
Gives whole new meaning to the phrase, "Want to see some pictures of my grandkids?"

9. Go classical
music, that is.

Or, do podcasts. Lookup Berkeley in the iTunes store for some free, really good college course lectures.

Do you remember Gene Shepherd? http://shepcast.blogspot.com/2006/07/just-occasional-update.html

11. I've got 3500 songs filling about 13 gigs of space on my 40 gb Nomad Zen Xtra.
It's already about 5 years old (don't know how the lithium battery keeps going!)
In order to fill it up I'd have to start including all the crap I don't actually want to listen to anymore and what would be the point?

I've come to the conclusion that there is only about 15 GBs total of decent music in the whole world. At least until Sleater-Kinney gets back together. (I wish)
