Memorial Day with the kids picture thread.

We loaded up the van and drove to Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro. This would be the first time we took both kayaks, and paddled out in open water with both kids at the same time. We stayed close to our entry point so the kids would not be too uncomfortable with an open ocean setting. We would have pushed the kids a little further but Ali started feeling seasick and then it became a full on mutiny. None the less a good time was had by all.

Huddling up to pick a destination. We found a frisbee in the kelp. This was the most exciting thing for the kids!?!



After huddling up, me and Troy head towards a reef to look for clear water.



The water was even murkier close to the reef, and we headed back to the kelp beds. I slipped over the side and took a quick picture. For some reason I got mega-creeped out being in open water and took this shot and got back in to the yak and we headed for our exit point.
