I have a weakness for wood.
Now get yer mind outta the gutter, Lounge.

Seriously, I'm kind of a pack rat and I have lots of junk around both on the side of my house and in my garage. But wood just seems to be the worst for me. Every time I do a little project or whatever, I end up with some leftover wood and it's getting to be a problem.

It's not all good wood, by any means. Some of it is just scraps too small to use for anything. Some of it is just old pressboard from furniture I've broken up. Some of it has been lying on the ground in the rain and is pretty much rotten. And yet I can't seem to get rid of it - I say to myself, well I can dry it out and use it for firewood when I go camping. (That rarely happens though.)

Today I filled my pickup with all the crap that's been lying around outside my house. Yay for me! And this time I actually added the wood. I just picked it up and tossed it on the pile. Yep. That's what I did.

Well, most of it.

1. Compost it
Well, not the pressboard, but add some nitrogen (i.e. manure), toss it all into a pile, wait a year or two, and give it away to gardeners if you're not one yourself.

3. know people with kids?
When we were kids, one of our big play things was pieces of wood. We just called them blocks, but they were just wood scraps left over from projects by my parents or uncles - there were blocks at my parents' house, and at my grand parents. Years of fun were had from them.
