I reimaged my computer about a week ago after it totally crashed from bad drivers I installed. The computer was acting funky for about a month.
I wasn't to worried about backing up any data since the most important data on that computer was also all on my Ipod (my music).
Now I'm a bit paranoid - if my Ipod gets wiped out I lose all my music and some of it might be difficult to find again. And searching help I haven't found anything that quite answered my question.
How do I go about making sure that when I reconnect my Ipod to my newly reimaged computer that all my music gets uploaded back up and still plays. There is not one illegimate song in all of that so I don't want to lose this.

If I lose all my songs I'm gonna scream. I wonder if I can test this out with my shuffle first.
This is ridiculous that Apple disabled that feature. I didn't have that problem with my Sony MP3 players and Connect.com.
Have you used any of these products - did they work?

you realize if you fuck this up you'll be in the shitcan the rest of your life with me. At least with store bought software I can blame someone else.
I'm really paranoid - this is a CD collection I spent decades building and many weekends uploading. Including Vinyl that I had converted to MP3.
ARe you that confident in what you are doing?

8. Step 1 is to open itunes |
|
and then open preferences > syncing > and then put a check in the box that says Disable automatic syncing of all iPhones and iPods.

Here is the right one: http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/iPod-To-PC-Transfer-Download-73612.html#download_locationsGo there nad download the iPod to PC transfer. It is free, you can ignore the option to purchase it at the beginning.

11. According to what I read and was told |
|
this software will move ALL of that back over to your itunes, as if nothing had changed.
I know it sucks, but I have had to get this done before myself when I bought a new computer, it works. You have to trust it.
If you had a mac, I would give you some software I have personal experience with, but I am a bit less than fully knowledgeable on PCs.
