David Archuletta from American Idol
David A. was on Larry King Live last night. Have you ever seen a cuter guy? OMG. There are no words to describe how hot he is. He seems like a nice guy as well. Apparently, he had vocal paralysis when he was 13.

When he flashes that smile, I get all mushy. Do you all think he's cute too?

Too bad he didn't win. The cute one never does:(

2. Actually, for once, they picked the actual talented one of the final two
David A is a swarmy little child that believes too much of his daddy's press. He should have been thrown off just for his father's backstage shenanigans.

10. Don't blame David A.
Yes, indeed his father is an asshole, and maybe pushing him too hard to be in the business.

I feel bad for David A. I hope this is what he really wants and I hope he doesn't look back one day and regret it all.

Showbiz father and mothers could be assholes but I think it's unfair to take it out on the child at this point.

12. I don't think he has a lot of range
He basically sings the same style of song over and over...I am glad Cook won...he was the better talent..I really don't know what they're going to do with David A...he's not an "American Idol"....I think he needs to mature a bit, find a style and then come back to record.

24. That is kind of harsh. What does his dad's shenanigans have to
do with him. He is only 17. I am glad Cook won, but David A. seems like a good kid.

25. I'm not saying he's a bad kid
But I don't think his father should have been allowed to pick his songs, or intimidate the other contestants backstage.

He is 17, but his father's behavior was reprehensible, and it should not have been allowed at all. There's no reason to allow parents backstage. Parents often aren't allowed in on kid's sports practices, even with much younger children.

26. Stage parents can be disasterous. But I don't see how the dad's behavior
has anything at all to do with David A. He certainly can't control his dad's actions. He is probably scared of his dad.

3. He's cute (waaaaaay too young for me) but there's something about him that seems
a little, I don't know... off. He seems very sweet and sincere, but not all there.

4. David A. is completely "there"; what he HAS is, as David C said, a dry wit.
Plus, he appears cautious about just what to believe when show-biz people speak, which IMO is a sign of intelligence.

5. He is adorable.
I like how David Cook is taking him under his wing like a big brother. Someone has to keep an eye out for that hussy Ryan Seacrest. I swear there were time you could see the drool forming on La Seacrest's lips while watching David Cook perform. He was looking at David Archuletta like a chicken hawk as well.

Shame free, that Ryan Seacrest.

9. Yeah David A. falls into the "too cute" category
He's my first true Idol crush. I don't like Casey from AI at all, though. He's cute but there's something about his attitude that turns me off.

That's just wrong. It's like having the hots for a Cabbage Patch kid. He's a sexless muppet.

Did you see when they did the Risky Business commercial? He wore boxers!! It's so we couldn't see his vaginis.

15. I swear, I thought he was blind
AND asthmatic-what with the audible breathing

I stopped watching after the early "embarassment" rounds and rejoined it later. I thought "Wow good for that asthmatic blind kid"

Seriously.

He is a cute young kid with a heck of a future.

20. Honestly?
I think he's really weird looking

And his inability to open his eyes when he sings is really annoying and distracting. Unfortunately, the annoyance only went up when he attempted to open them and it resulted in a weird squinty thing.

Then again, I don't find David Cook to be attractive either.

27. The cute one won the first one over the freaky-looking guy.
This is one of those very few things I know about American Idol. Kelly Clarkson is cute as a button, and the guy who she faced in the finals looked like he spends too much time playing with wall sockets in between D&D matches.

And the "oh gosh, I'm all mushy now" doesn't do anything for me.
