Damnit! Something woke me up. Who else is awake?
Edited on Fri May-30-08 04:29 AM by crispini
So I was nice and sound asleep and having some weird dream about camping or some such. Then, what sounds like a smoke alarm goes off (and then stops), or it may be that we had a power surge and the CO2 detector goes off and stopped, because it does that when there's a power surge. Or I may have dreamed it and woken myself up. Anyway I get up and check all around the whole house and outside and all is well -- the cats are like, Yeah, What? -- and now I CAN'T GO BACK TO SLEEP! :banghead:

Why are YOU up?

7. I do.
I work from home.

So glad to do so, I would have to drive 40 miles round trip otherwise.

9. Working from home is great!
So handy -- and nobody knows if you're still in your jammies. :) Although I tried not to do that too often.

Sigh, if I get this next job I am looking at I think I will have to go in more often, but there is a certain amount of "energy" to an office which can be nice. :)

13. I get more work done at home.
If I was at work there would only be a small crew and I would still be by myself.

This way I can save miles on the old truck and gas.

14. Definitely the miles and gas savings are great!
If I get this new job (cross fingers) I'll have probably a 20 mile commute one way. I think there will be some form of new gas-efficient vehicle in my future if so.

What do you do, if you don't mind saying? :hi:

17. I work in a warehouse, or I did.
I deal with the paperwork from the day.

It is really boring but it pays the bills.

23. Just think, I could have gone to work for the railroad.
Wished I had now.

I would be able to retire next year.

O well.

12. I'm up allegedly working as well
also working at home and being very naughty watching Lost and coming to DU instead of working. Joke's on me though, it just means I'll have to work Friday night to get it done. Will I never learn that I can actually have a day off if I finish my work on time?

2. Sorry you can't get back to sleep.
x(

I'm only awake because it's almost noon here -- and grocery shopping day. I wish I were only dreaming about the grocery shopping thing, though. :scared:

11. Well, I haven't really shopped for a month or so.
My knee is saving me, so something is good about tendonistis.

8. Awake and at work here
But as with Heidi, that's because I'm in a different time-zone - coming up to 11:00 here.

I really hate it when I wake up early - I can never get back to sleep once I'm awake...I hope that you manage to.

20. Hope you have earplugs for your day sleeping!
When it's so hot like it is I think I'd rather sleep during the day myself. I don't use heavy duty AC so my house is warm and in the afternoons... zzzzz.....

25. Woke up at 4 am, evidently that was it
for sleep last night.
At least I'm old and retired and don't have to go to work.

Enjoy your day/weekend anyway.
