Question for SATC fans (MOVIE SPOILERS!!)
Edited on Fri May-30-08 11:04 PM by Book Lover
Were there scatological jokes in the series, too? I didn't like the show, but I did get the sense that they were selling sophistication. Now we get shit- and dog-humping jokes: WTF?

3. Better to have LOTR than SATC on your mind!
I really thought that show was dreadful. Family Guy's Brian summed it up nicely: So, this is a show abotu three whores and their mother?

5. They usually give him the really rude stuff to say that you know the
writers wish they could say themselves.

And adieu...I am off to watch a really GOOD television show...Blackadder the third!

7. I watched the series from beginning to end and at no time did I ever think they were selling

sophistication. Fashion and NYC life yes, but never sophistication. The characters are all perfectly imperfect. Even the intro of the show with Carrie in her tutu getting soaked as the bus bearing her photo goes through a huge puddle, demonstrates that.

IMHO..the dog is Samantha's alter ego. And as to the shit jokes? Charlotte is the most proper of all of the women and tried so hard to avoid stomach issues to no avail. It was a cute scene as it shows once again that no one is perfect and yes, "shit" does happen.

SATC is one of my few guilty pleasures and I loved the movie! It is about forgiveness and unconditional love. Although the clock said it was supposedly long for a movie, it flew by and I still want more.

BTW...I am a smoker and at not one moment did I have the urge to run out and have a quick cigarette.

9. Ok, so I checked your profile and you're of the female persuasion..
...I really believe SATC is only for women and I don't know one man, even any gay man, who liked the show. It's the great divide.

10. One of my straight male friends was over last night and said, without venom that he had seen some
epsidoes, and thought it was a pretty good show.

So :P

And I guess maybe if you decide to quit smoking, we know a great tool to keep you still during a craving :-)
