I cut my finger with hedge clippers
It looks kind of deep and was bleeding like crazy. A bandaid seems to have stopped it. But dang! It hurts like hell. I'm a 6 fingered typist today.

I don't know whether I should go to Urgent Care. The bleeding has stopped -- I think it's just gonna be damn sore for a while.

being an outdoors injury, who knows what you might have been exposed to. What's your tetanus status? :hi: take care

2. Good point.
My last tetanus shot was in 2000. I was chopping up honeysuckle. I'll Google it for the poison info.

3. You were absolutely right! 4 stitches
The lidocaine shot was so painful I nearly fainted. They had me drink some OJ and sit calmly for a while before the doc stitched it. It hasn't worn off yet.

6. Thanks for your suggestion.
I hate going to the doctor and would probably have put it off. The bad news is I can't get that work done myself now so I'll need to hire someone to do it. Oh well -- at least it will get done.

7. Thank you.
The lidocaine has worn off and it hurts. I'm just waiting for the "Mighty Mo" to kick in.

Welcome to DU! :hi:

8. If you sleep with that hand propped up on a pillow
(above the level of your heart) it won't throb so much.
