Poll question: Favorite chowder (chowdah) |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-19-04 02:06 PM by MissMillie
I'll stick w/ the more familiar sorts, but you can always choose "other" and tell us if you prefer something different. As for me, it's the lobster w/ sweet potato chowder I mentioned in my other post.

I'm a New Yorker living in Massachusetts, and trust me:
Manhattan Chowder SUCKS!!!!!
New England Clam Chowder is probably the reason that Massachusetts exists!
edit: Corn Chowder is delicious as well.

|
Of course, I voted "corn," so that's what my opinion's worth.

I have no idea what that tomato-stuff is supposed to be, but it aint chowder. Chowder is milk/cream based.

9. I've lived in NE all my life |
|
and I've always called it "clam chowder".... in fact, I've never heard anyone call it anything else.
Then again, in MA we say "soda" and in NH you say "pop"

You can do that??
All the same ingredients as clam chowder? How do you get the conch to not have the consistency of rubber bands?

15. Last time I had it, it was spicy red hot. |
|
And the conch meat was not rubbery at all. Next time you visit St. Pete, go to the St. Pete Ale House and find out for yourself.
