It's like we've been stuck for seven years in a soda shop with nothing on the shelves except anthrax dust and bear traps, and an adult, a smiling, wise, friendly adult, with a fresh apron and an air of confidence, finally came in and is polishing the ice cream machine while the bitter, frail, dirty old proprietor dressed in rags and hate looks on in helpless despair, knowing he can't stop the soda shop from opening up again, and that soon, soon, he will be relegated to the back room and then to the dank emptiness of being forgotten in history.
