On Tuesday, My Ex and I will till and plant the garden at my parents' house |
|
:bounce:
I'm driving out early to rip weeds and till, and then we will have lunch, watch some dvds, and plant. I can't wait! I haven't seen him since...October? It will be fun, and I get to see my Momma.

6. Is this the dude you callled your "platonic soulmate"? |
|
I remember reading your post about him and I love that phrase, which I've never heard before. I think you have a similar relationship with your ex as I do with mine. As a matter of fact, my ex just moved into the apartment downstairs, where my mother lived until she died a few months ago. We're bestest friends and it's a win-win situation: he gets below-market rent and I get a lot of work done around the house. :-)

And that he is. He's wonderful for offering to move in with my parents for the summer, to help out my lil bro with their care. :)
We're beyond tight, even though we can't be 'together'.
So yeah, we're going to garden and eat and hang out and have fun. I'm very much looking forward to it. :)
And yay for you! :)
I am so sorry about your Mom though, sweetie.

That's wild that you also have a strong platonic thing with a guy who you can't be 'with.' Your situation sounds so similar to mine, right down to the closeness with our families. I don't know anyone else who has this kind of thing. It is an unusual situation, and most people I know don't understand it. Some think I should/should have married him; some think that's what will end up happening; others think there is something going on. They can't seem to believe that we can be bff but *cannot* be a couple. Fortunately, my boyfriend is extremely self-assured and thinks it's great that my friend and I very close and he's there for me (because my boyfriend works a lot and he can't see me that often).

Gardening is always fun! You can get all hot and sweaty with him and it's still legal. ;)
