"Horse, Again"
Strict in the idea of knowing where you head I walk a certain direction. What To call this symmetry, for I too diminish
When you are not to be found. I learn To be ruthless finding your brown eye In the thick leaves, your tail no longer
Blending with aspen. To run up against the end Of the box canyon; I have prayed for Your surrender like a priest. And this time I do not want to be about damage, or strategy
Or even debt: I do not want this to be why You remember. Each standing with the wide open At our backs. Nothing you can give that I won't Someday get. I let go the rope; I sit down.

It's not just about horses, is it?
It's also (or could be) about relationships...
It has so many levels, so many interpretations...
It's a jewel!
Thank you...
