What game shows do you watch that you KNOW you would win if you ever got on |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 07:16 PM by charlie and algernon
The obvious, Are you smarter than a fifth grader. I think I would answer the 5th grade ones first and leave the 1st grade questions for the million dollars. Lingo Chain Reaction - I would kill the competition they usually have on it. They always think of the first word that comes to them, not what would actually fit the chain. Cash Cab Weakest Link Who Wants to be a Millionaire - I usually make it pretty far playing along.

3. Jeopardy can be easy if you find the hidden clue |
|
there's always a clue hidden in the answer that gives the question away pretty easily, the tricky part is finding what the clue is.

4. I hate when they do that, though, because sometimes |
|
it changes the answer from the category it's supposed to be in to something else, IMO.
I'm pretty good at Jeopardy!, but there are some categories I am absolutely rotten at. I'm average on most, know some cold ("Six Wives of Henry VIII?") but then don't know anything about stuff like rivers.

12. you don't need to know all catagories, |
|
just to be really good in two or three a round. If you can dominate a couple catagories and get lucky with a couple questions in others, you'll be in contention for final jeopardy.

15. Oh, yeah, I'm pretty good overall |
|
It's just that every now and then a category shows up where I'm a complete DUD.

But I once solved "On a slow boat to China" on Wheel of Fortune after two letters (o and n). I think it was intuition, not brains, because I also got "playbook" once with just the "l".

Where you guess the price through hints of higher or lower.
That is a cinch.

6. "Jeopardy" and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" |
|
I couldn't go on "5th Grader" because I don't do the jumping up and down and running around screaming around the set thing like the jackass with the cowboy hat who I'm watching right now.

normal smart people will always have a hard time getting onto game shows other than Jeopardy and Millionare. The producers want ratings and you get ratings through people that show emotion rather than intelligence.

I'm too reserved to do the screaming and yelling thing. Oh, well...

check out lingo and chain reaction on GSN. It's all about coming up with words 1 letter at a time.

10. Cash Cab, WOF, Millionaire, Fifth Grader. |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 07:32 PM by Starbucks Anarchist
I actually tried out for Millionaire but didn't make the cut. Even though I was the first to finish the test, there were 5-7 questions that nobody would know the answer to, though the other 20 or so questions were really easy.
And I know the people had to guess on those harder questions, because I've seen some real dumbasses on that show.
