I would go with James Taylor on this one...

James Taylor has written many great songs and is an amazing singer and guitar player. REM is my favorite band, but I don't put Michael Stipe in the same league as JT.

On the other hand, my favorite bald musician of all time would have to be Robert Quine. He played guitar with Lou Reed, Matthew Sweet, and Richard Hell and the Voidoids. This guy could play!! Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago...
