1. I'm not a big fan of parades
and I've never participated in one...

I'm just picturing you in some sort of parade uniform.

9. I'm sure
that you'll look great in whatever you wear...

have fun being the marshall. Does that mean, you get to yell at people & give orders and tell them where to go?

12. I'd never have guessed that
I always thought of you as kind of a wallflower - shy & reserved.

4. Oh my, I so wanna go to the parade now.
That's my first day of vacation, but we just got an invitation for a family party. I am not sure what I am going to do.

(this is assuming you're talking about the NYC Pride Parade on June 29)

11. We went down last year.
Well we didn't go to the parade b/c I had to work later that afternoon but we went down on Saturday, got a room, went down to Christopher St. for the day, went to some of the bars, walked on the pier, had dinner and then went to a club. We had breakfast in the Bronx in the morning before heading back. I will see what I can do this year.

14. No Marshalling
March for gay rights - April 25, 1993, Washington, D.C
Look it up, it was fantastic
half a million people, it was incredible, one of the best times I ever had
flew to New York, took the train down to DC, one of my best friends had a suite
at the Embassy Suites
It was April 1993, I think I said June, that was another trip!!

:hi:

13. no, but have a great time!
They are looking for volunteers this weekend for the Pride parade in Portland, ME on Sat.

Here is from the website:

We are in need of volunteers to help staff Parade route intersections. This involves setting up a barricade starting around 11:45, monitoring interesction, removing barricade after Parade passes, and then joining Parade if the person(s) would like.
If you or someone you know could assist us with this task please reply to this email address msholt@maine.rr.com
If you know of someone planning to watch the Parade and they would be willing to watch from an intersection, perhaps they would help with the above task.

18. No, but it sounds like it will be a good time.
I'm not a huge fan of crowds. Got crushed in NYC once during the St. Pat's day parade and it jaded me.
