Life is interfering with my DU time! Crap, I'm just numb now. ;-(

I had an "interest" that I went out with one time. Then all shit broke loose.

A tragic death in the family - 21 year old niece that died in a fire. And I am not so cold and heartless that I can't back off for a while. She calls me, and is understandably devastated.

I'm just willing to listen and be there, on her own time and terms. It's emotionally draining, but I am happy to be there for her. I've been there before myself.

I'm just exhausted. (But ready and willing to be available again, anytime, night or day.)

The circle has come around to me now, and I am honored to be able to give something back.

Last week, my husband and I celebrated our 43 wedding anniversary, and tonight, we celebrated his birthday!

Kind of you to remember him -- Audio Al. He's been struggling all week with a balky new computer which has Microsoft Vista as the operating system. I've heard swear words out of his mouth this week that I never thought I'd hear from him.

I came up with new swear words when I got a a new PC with Vista too. Uhggh! I HATE it!

And then my mother, at 76 years old, decided she wanted to have a PC and email and the works. Guess what - it was Vista. *groan* And what a fucking headache! In the first place, she didn't even know the difference between click or double-click!

It's opened an entirely new world for her to have Internet and email access, so the extra effort was worth the trouble. I am really happy for her now.

17. Isn't that devastating? I had family all over the country wanting to know if I got hit with that.

It's only June - I most likely have to worry about a tornado.

Last week I had to wake up my mother because I thought the house was going to fly at any moment and we might need to take cover in the basement.

I'm okay, really. Just really tired and exhausted. My losses and wounds have had time to heal, and I am grateful to be able to give something back now.

Being tired and listening is just pfffft!, compared to going through it. I am happy to be able to give something back for a change.

19. ****Update**** Death was due to murder, and the fire was set to cover it up.

I've been up emailing with her, because she is so devastated she can't talk.

Seems the 21 year old was beaten so badly the funeral had to be closed casket today because of all the head and body trauma she suffered. The fire was set to cover it up. Understandably, my friend and her family are absolutely devastated.

She could not stop crying or hyperventilating long enough to talk, thus why we exchanged in email.

Life can be so incredibly cruel sometimes. ;-(
